Tala Top 5: Josie's favourite online accounts to follow during lockdown

Lockdown life is the new normal – Zoom meetings, living room workouts and receiving sourdough starter kits in the post from your mum (ok, just me?). But as we reach the end of week 9, we think it’s important to take a moment for yourself.

To help you with this, I have rounded up my top websites and Instagram accounts to follow; from doing your bit for the planet to looking after your mental wellbeing, I hope you find it helpful.

Bread Ahead

This bakery and baking school located in London’s Borough Market, has transformed their daily baking classes into a virtual experience. Find them on Instagram Live every day, get hold of E-books on their website or grab daily deliveries if, like me, yeast is hard to come by.

First Mile

It’s a wonderful silver lining to know that Planet Earth is taking a bit of a breather right now, with carbon emissions declining, air quality improving and wildlife thriving. But I wanted to know what else I could do for the environment while stuck at home.
As we spend more time at home, there is no better time to get to grips with your recycling and learn your PETE from your HDPE (I’m talking plastic). Our friends at First Mile are helping us out, with a Wednesday class on ‘Can I recycle that?’, over on their Instagram page.
