Lamorna House, London
Turning a once quirky period property into a fun, contemporary space.
This project involved the remodelling and extension of a house in the St John’s Wood Conservation Area; the former home of a renowned artist. The clients wanted a contemporary space while retaining characteristics of the original property, formerly part of a chapel.
Additions such as the Triple Pendant + Voronoi II above the kitchen island and breakfast bar provide not only a visual focal point, but also the option for ambient light to soften the space. Clifton Interiors regularly specify transparent bulbs to avoid creating barriers, catering for those cooking or eating while engaging in conversation across the room.
"Sculptural glass pendants or interesting dropped bulbs are a great solution. The Voronoi has a lightness and simplicity to it whilst being really interesting - it is a feature. We are thrilled how it has turned out in this kitchen extension." - Clifton Interiors
