Illuminating A New Cultural Hub For London's LGBTQ+ Community

A vibrant and inclusive new hub that’s placing the spotlight on LGBTQ+ art, culture and heritage.

Diversity, progressive thinking and beautiful design are all key foundations of our culture at Tala. So, when we were contacted by lighting design studio There’s Light to help illuminate Queercircle‘s new space, we jumped at the chance.

An LGBTQ+ charity ‘working at the intersection between arts, culture and social action’, Queercircle recently launched their new two-storey headquarters in London’s North Greenwich Design District.

Launched during Pride Month, the space mixes art and history with contemporary interior design Daytrip Studio. A vibrant mural by Michaela Yearwood-Dan adorns the walls, while in the study, reading tables are topped with our Reflection Table Lamps, offering a warm and welcoming light for visitors to delve into their rich library of fiction and non-fiction books.

According to the charity’s learning and participation manager, Frances Williams, the new cultural hub is conceived as a ‘sanctuary’ with a ‘safe and inclusive vibe’, with founder and director, Ashley Joiner, likening it to ‘a giant hug for people when they walk in’.
