Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge, the first Oregon restaurant from Top Chef alum Brian Malarkey, is a captivating blend of modern cowboy charm and the adventurous spirit of glamping. Designed by Heylen Thienes, founder of Bend-based design firm Tricorn Black, the restaurant’s interior reflects a deep appreciation for Oregon’s rich ranching and foraging heritage.

As guests enter, they are greeted by a mesmerizing 'under the stars' lighting effect, prominently showcased above the bar with Tala’s Voronoi pendants and bulbs. This celestial theme extends into the main dining area, where string lights enhance the ambiance, making diners feel as though they are truly dining beneath the night sky.

The restaurant’s stage, reminiscent of an evening walk through the forest, further enhances the atmosphere with its enchanting design, using Tala’s lighting to evoke the serenity of nature. The patio outside offers a cozy retreat, inviting guests to gather around a crackling fire, while the colorful bathrooms and dynamic art throughout the space inject a sense of spirited playfulness, inspired by scenes from the movie Tombstone.

The material palette, inspired by the menu’s focus on charcoal, fire, and flowing rivers, includes Shou Sugi Ban wall cladding, river rock-inspired tiles, and black-and-white variegated countertops. The result is a magical, immersive dining experience that resonates with both seasoned locals and newcomers alike.
