Vitra’s Potence family celebrates simplicity and functionality.
Potence was first designed in the late 1940s by revered French designer, Jean Prouvé. Considered one of his great modernist masterpieces, Potence is a powder-coated pivoting bar made of steel, supported by steel wire with a light bulb affixed to the end.
Porcelain II is an ideal pairing for the original Potence design. Opaque in finish and spherical in form, it’s a simple but effective combination that accentuates the fixture’s subtle details.
For those looking to make a statement, consider Tala’s Gaia to emphasise the oversized proportions of the fixture. If space is a luxury, the more compact dimensions of the Petite Potence may be more suitable.
